Israeli Strikes on Lebanon Kill 36, Pushing Death Toll to 1,497

(MENAFN) Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported Monday that Israeli airstrikes over the past 24 hours have killed at least 36 people and left 209 others wounded.

In its latest update, the ministry said the cumulative toll since March 2 has climbed to 1,497 fatalities, with 4,639 individuals injured.

Officials noted that the casualties include 101 women and 130 children, underscoring the heavy civilian impact of the attacks.

The ministry further reported that 57 health care workers have been killed, while another 145 have sustained injuries amid the ongoing Israeli assault.

Israel has continued both aerial bombardments and ground operations in southern Lebanon following a cross-border attack by the Lebanese group Hezbollah on March 2, despite a ceasefire that came into effect in November 2024.
